As part of the 14th annual New York International Fringe Festival – FringeNYC, hope theatre is proud to present their fifth collaboration with FringeNYC, Ramon Sanchez’s new thoughtful comedy, ENERGY MAN, a graphic novel come to life.  Super Hero, or just Super Deluded? Making his way through a maze of memories, crushing criminals and recriminations alike, will Daniel wise up and make it to the other side?

"good ideas...touching moments...The actors...offer good performances, ably playing multiple roles both realistic and archetypal. Stacie Perlman in particular is quite compelling as Daniel's guide to his own underworld. Energy Man has an interesting story and real heart at its core." -- nytheatre.com

Daniel (Rob Langeder) is a flawed man forced to face his past, deal with his demons and find a way to get along with his ex-wife (Shelle Davis). Daniel loses everything the night Enron collapses. After a disastrous company party for his disgruntled employees (Seth Biberstein, James Ward) he transforms into his comic book hero: Energy Man.  Accompanied by the courageous Cyberwench (Stacie Perlman), Daniel journeys through his past on a psychedelic / spiritual trip to reach his future.  The cast is rounded out by Mac Brydon, as Super Villain Guido X-3, Gelsey Laurie, as dream date Jennifer, and Sean Dalal, as sensitive son Chris.
